The Sekyere East District Assembly, in collaboration with the Embassy of Japan in Ghana, has commissioned a newly constructed Health Centre at Nkwankwanua in the Sekyere East District. The project was undertaken through Japan’s Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects Programme and was aimed at improving access to quality primary healthcare services for residents of Nkwankwanua and its surrounding communities. The facility includes a modern health centre building, residential accommodation for health workers, and a mechanised borehole to ensure reliable water supply. The commissioning ceremony was attended by the Japanese Ambassador to Ghana, officials of the Sekyere East District Assembly, representatives from the Ghana Health Service, traditional authorities and community members. The project is expected to significantly enhance healthcare delivery and improve the well-being of residents within the Nkwankwanua community and neighbouring areas.
